EUROCAE and ASD-STAN Forge Cooperation to Enhance European Aerospace Standards

In a significant step towards enhancing coordinated standards development across the European Aerospace & Defence Industry, EUROCAE and ASD-STAN have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC). This partnership aims to optimise resource utilisation and streamline efforts through collaborative engagements within their respective working structures.

Leveraging their existing scopes of activity and relationships with various European and global organisations, EUROCAE and ASD-STAN have committed to cooperate by sharing information and coordinating on matters of mutual interest. This agreement seeks to explore opportunities for future harmonisation and prevent overlapping activities by fostering communication between their Secretariats and working bodies.

Upon identifying and mutually approving a collaborative initiative under the MoC, the two organisations will establish the following:

  •  Liaison mechanisms between respective Working Groups/Technical Committees.
    •    Enhanced process for coordinated activities.
    •    Exchange of technical documentation.
    •    Additional harmonisation areas benefiting members of both organisations.

Anna von Groote, EUROCAE Director General, remarked, “We are excited to formalise this partnership with ASD-STAN, which will undoubtedly strengthen our efforts in support of the Aviation, Aerospace and Defence sectors. This MoC reflects our shared commitment to fostering innovation through closer collaboration and more efficient use of the resources of the aviation industry to develop relevant standards”.

Pari Aliyeva, ASD-STAN Director General, added, “This Memorandum of Cooperation marks a pivotal moment for our organisations. By aligning our resources and expertise, we can better serve the European Aerospace and Defence Industry. This collaboration will pave the way for more streamlined and effective standardisation processes, benefitting all our stakeholders".
