IATA joins as 200th EUROCAE member

IATA, the International Air Transport Association, has joined EUROCAE as the 200th member in July 2016. This strengthens the relationship between EUROCAE and the airspace users’ community and brings in particular the airlines’ view into EUROCAE.

EUROCAE´s membership has grown over the last years by more than 10% a year, so we are very proud on counting today 200 active members. EUROCAE has evolved from a 70-member organisation in 2000 to the 200th member today, which represents almost a threefold increase. Over the same period, the number of active Working Groups WGs doubled from 18 to 36 currently.

“For more than 50 years, EUROCAE has been at the forefront of harmonizing and improving the technical standards of the aviation industry. It is therefore absolutely right that IATA formalizes its membership of EUROCAE and plays a full role in the working groups that align with our members’ priorities. EUROCAE’s work plays a crucial role in creating a stronger aviation system and we look forward working with them in our shared objective to create a safer, more secure and sustainable air transport industry,” said Rafael Schvartzman, IATA European Regional Vice President.
